PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. — A 23-year-old Dry Fork woman died Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash, leaving her family, friends and community grieving, according to Virginia State Police (VSP).
Troopers responded at about 5:54 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, to Strawberry Road near Glenview Drive. VSP said Aurora Lilliana Valencia was driving a 2012 Nissan XTR south when it ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected and overturned, ejecting her. She wasn't wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.
VSP hasn't said what caused the car to leave the road, and the crash remains under investigation.
At just 23, Aurora had so many chapters still ahead of her. May her family and friends find comfort in cherished memories and strength in the days ahead, and may her memory be honored with love.
