Two civilians have been killed and several others injured following fresh Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, according to Ukrainian officials and international reports.
The strikes hit areas including Dnipro and Odesa, damaging civilian infrastructure and residential buildings. Ukrainian authorities say the attacks are part of a broader escalation that has continued to put pressure on communities across the country.
The latest violence comes as Ukraine continues its campaign against Russian targets, including attacks involving drones inside Russian territory. Russia has also reported casualties from Ukrainian attacks in the Belgorod region.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned foreign airlines about the risks of operating in Russian airspace amid increased drone activity. Moscow, however, has insisted that its airspace remains safe and operational, despite disruptions and flight cancellations at some airports.
The conflict, now in its fifth year, remains without a lasting peace agreement. Western governments continue to support Ukraine, while diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war have yet to produce a breakthrough.
