The Gray, Maine, community is mourning the loss of 57-year-old Kevin Austin following a tragic crash on Long Hill Road.
The crash occurred on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. At approximately 7:50 p.m., deputies with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded after receiving a report of a possible crash.
When deputies arrived, they discovered Austin’s red 2012 Ford Escape in a wooded area beside the roadway.
Emergency responders attended the scene as authorities worked to determine what happened and assess the circumstances surrounding the crash.
