In Loving Memory of Paul Alexander Kirkland: A Life Tragically Cut Short in a Heartbreaking Dirt Bike Accident at 35.

PRINCE, W.Va. — A 35-year-old Texas man reported missing was found dead Thursday morning after an apparent dirt bike crash in Fayette County, leaving his family, friends and community grieving, according to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Jess McMullen said deputies were notified early Thursday, Oct. 29, of a missing person report filed in Raleigh County for Paul Alexander Kirkland of Caddo Mills, Texas. Around 8 a.m., a CSX employee walking the railroad tracks found him near the Prince Train Station.
A preliminary investigation found Kirkland was riding a dirt bike north on Route 41 Wednesday night, Oct. 28, when he lost control coming out of a curve near the tracks. The bike struck a tree, and he was thrown, suffering fatal head and neck injuries. Investigators said he wasn't wearing a helmet. Because he and the bike's debris were well off the road, the crash wasn't discovered overnight. The sheriff's office is still investigating and extended condolences to his loved ones.
Behind this news is a life that mattered, a name that deserves to be remembered and loved ones now facing the unimaginable pain of loss. May his soul rest in peace, and may his family, friends and everyone mourning find strength and comfort in the days ahead.
