IN LOVING MEMORY OF BRIANNA ANDERSON: A LIFE REMEMBERED, A BEAUTIFUL SOUL NEVER FORGOTTEN.

ROCHESTER, Minn. — A 44-year-old Kasson woman died after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Rochester on Wednesday afternoon, leaving her family, friends and community grieving, according to the Rochester Police Department.
Officers responded at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, to Superior Drive NW and Heritage Place NW after a report that a pedestrian had been hit. Police said a driver turning east onto Heritage Place from southbound Superior Drive struck Brianna Anderson as she crossed the road. First responders tried life-saving measures, but she died. The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's Office identified her Thursday.
Police said Anderson was not in a crosswalk and the driver stayed at the scene. No arrests had been announced as of Wednesday evening. The Forensic Mapping Unit processed the scene, and Rochester police are still investigating.
At just 44, Anderson's journey ended far too soon. Behind every name is a story, and behind every heartbreaking goodbye are people left wishing for one more conversation, one more smile and one more chance to say "I love you." May those who held her close find strength in the memories they shared, and comfort in knowing the love she brought into their lives will never disappear.
