IN LOVING MEMORY OF ANTHONY D. LACLUYSE: A LIFE REMEMBERED, A HEARTBREAKING GOODBYE. ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

KOKOMO, Ind. โ€” A 39-year-old Kokomo man died Monday afternoon in a crash with a semi-truck on Jefferson Street in Howard County, leaving his family, friends and community grieving, according to Indiana State Police (ISP).
The crash happened shortly after 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, near Bridle Way. ISP said Anthony D. LaCluyse was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche east on Jefferson Street when, for an undetermined reason, it crossed the center of the road and struck a 2013 Kenworth semi-tractor pulling a trailer.
Despite lifesaving efforts, LaCluyse was pronounced dead at the scene by the Howard County Coroner's Office. The semi's driver was not injured. ISP said alcohol and narcotics are not suspected of contributing to the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
Some goodbyes arrive without warning. In a moment, an ordinary Monday afternoon drive became an unimaginable tragedy. At 39, LaCluyse was at an age when many chapters of life are still ahead, and his passing is a painful reminder of how quickly an ordinary day can change everything.
Behind his name is a life that mattered, with memories that can't be erased and a story that deserves to be remembered with dignity and compassion. While the world moves on, the loss of a life leaves an emptiness that time alone can't fill.
As the Kokomo community mourns, those who knew and loved him are leaning on one another. May they find strength in the memories they shared, and may his life be remembered with care.
