IN LOVING MEMORY: JONATHAN LOZANO AND JAX — TWO YOUNG LIVES GONE, FOREVER REMEMBERED.

CHISAGO CITY, Minn. — One year after a head-on collision at Stacy Trail and Ivywood Trail in Chisago City, families and friends are remembering the two teenagers who died: 15-year-old Jax and 17-year-old Jonathan Lozano.
The crash happened on Oct. 25, 2025. Ashton Oseth survived, but the crash changed his life and the lives of everyone connected to it.
A year later, the loss remains painful for both families. Jonathan will be remembered as forever 17 and Jax as forever 15, and those who loved them say no amount of time can replace the sons they lost.
According to an announcement from the Lozano family, the community of Tierra Blanca and surrounding areas is invited to honor Jonathan's memory during his first night of vigil. His body will lie in state at the Housing Office, where Mrs. Canda Lozano lives, on Oct. 25 and 26, 2026. Family and friends will gather to pay their respects before a Christian burial on Oct. 27, 2026.
The community is encouraged to support the Lozano family with prayers and love during this time.
Ashton continues to face physical pain and emotional struggles, and the family says he is dealing with nearly $300,000 in medical debt after the crash. His survival is seen as a blessing, but his recovery remains difficult.
Today, the community remembers those lost, keeps those still healing in its prayers, and stands with every grieving family.
