Blake Landry, 43, of Pierre Part, lost his life following a head-on collision on Louisiana Highway 70 on December 10, 2025.

The crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. near Leonie Street and Veterans Park in Assumption Parish. According to Louisiana State Police, Landry was driving a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound when a westbound 2004 International box truck crossed the centerline and struck his pickup head-on.

Landry was properly restrained but suffered serious injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died. The driver of the box truck also suffered serious injuries and was transported to an out-of-area hospital.

The investigation continued for months. On September 15, 2026, Assumption Parish deputies arrested 35-year-old Bryan Keith Comeaux in connection with the crash.

Comeaux faces charges of negligent homicide and failure to drive on the right side of the road. According to authorities, the 23rd Judicial District Attorney filed the bill of information charging him on September 2, 2026, before an arrest warrant was issued.

Landry's obituary describes him as a devoted father of two daughters, Hudsyn and Drea, and a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was also remembered for his work, craftsmanship, and involvement in his daughters' lives.

The December crash brought an immediate loss to the Landry family, while the subsequent investigation has now resulted in criminal charges nearly nine months later.

The case remains subject to the legal process, and the charges against Comeaux are allegations unless proven in court.
