JACKSON, Miss. โ Today, family, friends and loved ones are mourning the loss of 42-year-old Adrian Nunnery, whose life was tragically taken following a shooting in Jackson.
Jackson police responded to the Inland Gas Station on Terry Road at approximately 11 p.m. Sunday after receiving a report of a shooting.
When authorities arrived, Adrian was found deceased on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to preliminary information from investigators, Adrian and another man became involved in a verbal confrontation that escalated before the other man shot him. The suspect has not been identified and remains at large.
Those close to Adrian have shared that he was trying to make peace and had apologized before the situation became deadly. For his family and friends, that detail has made his sudden loss even more painful.
Adrian was more than a name in a police report. He was a son, a loved one, a friend and someone whose presence meant something deeply special to the people who knew him.
Police are continuing to investigate the shooting and work to identify the person responsible. Authorities said the suspect reportedly fled in a dark-colored sedan, and a possible female companion is also being investigated.
As investigators search for answers, Adrian's loved ones are left to remember the person he was and the memories he created with those around him.
May Adrian Nunnery rest in peace, and may his family, friends and loved ones find strength and comfort during this difficult time. ๐๏ธ
