Seven-month-old Julien has died after suffering severe injuries in a case that began with a report that the infant had fallen from a couch.
According to the information provided, Julien’s mother had seen him alive and well on FaceTime the day before the incident. The following morning, Shidae Monique Sellers reportedly contacted her in a panic and said Julien had fallen from a couch and was sick.
Medical personnel responded and found the infant suffering from catastrophic injuries. Doctors reported a fractured skull and severe brain injuries, leaving Julien unable to breathe without assistance.
Sellers was initially arrested on child abuse charges while investigators examined the circumstances surrounding the baby’s injuries.
Julien’s condition later deteriorated, and he died on Wednesday, September 16.
Following his death, the case escalated to a murder investigation. Detectives continued examining the injuries and the circumstances surrounding what happened before Julien was taken for emergency medical treatment.
Sellers now faces a murder charge in connection with Julien’s death. The allegations remain subject to the court process, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
The investigation continues as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the infant’s death.
