Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Yusuf made a solid return to club football as New England Revolution were held to a goalless draw by Toronto FC in their MLS clash at Gillette Stadium, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Yusuf, making his 15th MLS appearance of the season, started in his preferred deep-lying midfield role and produced a composed performance for the Revs.
The 26-year-old completed 94 per cent of his passes, recorded 75 touches, made eight passes into the final third and created one chance during his 86 minutes on the pitch.
His performance earned him a 6.9 rating from Sofascore as he helped New England Revolution control large periods of the game, although they were unable to find the breakthrough.

The match was Yusuf’s first club appearance since he scored twice for Nigeria in their Unity Cup final victory over Jamaica in May.
New England created several opportunities, with Griffin Yow coming closest to opening the scoring in the first half, but Toronto goalkeeper Luka Gavran produced a fine save to keep the visitors in the contest.
Both sides continued to threaten after the break, but neither could find the decisive touch as the game ended 0-0.
The result leaves New England Revolution fourth in the MLS standings, with the Revs set to face Atlanta United in their next fixture on Sunday.
