Two people have died in a house fire south of Brisbane, with a crime scene declared as authorities work to determine the cause of the blaze.
Emergency services were called to a two-storey house on Adelaide Street in the Logan suburb of Kingston just after 3pm.
Two people, a male and female, were found inside the house and declared dead, Queensland Police said.
Four other occupants escaped and were not physically injured.
Queensland Police Inspector Jason Barrowcliffe said officers were working to determine the cause of the fire.
"There were large plumes of smoke as far as Holmview," he said.

It took about an hour to bring the fire under control.
An emergency declaration for nearby streets was issued due to concerns for neighbouring properties, but that has since been revoked.
Tiffany Tinker, who lives next door, said the house was engulfed in flames within minutes.
"We were scrambling," she said.
"It happened so quickly. It was horrifying. Absolutely horrifying."
