Thiago Silva has shared some strong advice for Estêvão as the young Chelsea attacker adapts to life at Stamford Bridge under manager Xabi Alonso. 🔵
Silva reportedly told Estêvão not to panic about spending a few games on the bench, reminding him that he is only 19 years old and still has plenty of time to establish himself at Chelsea.
The youngster reportedly prefers playing in a central attacking role, something Silva understands after watching his ability on the ball. However, Silva pointed out the competition for those positions, with players such as Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers also capable of operating centrally.
Rather than asking the manager to move established players aside, Silva’s advice was simple: earn the position through performances.

The biggest message was about mentality: Estêvão shouldn’t focus on fighting Palmer, other teammates or even Xabi Alonso. Instead, he should focus on becoming so influential that leaving him out becomes a difficult decision for the manager.
If he gets 20 minutes, Silva’s advice is to make those minutes count. If he gets 30, make the manager wonder why he didn’t play longer.
