Tate McRae is celebrating another major career milestone after her latest single, "Housewife", debuted at the top of both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.
The achievement places the Canadian singer among the artists currently enjoying significant worldwide streaming momentum. According to figures compiled by Luminate, the track generated approximately 55.9 million global streams and 6,000 sales during the October 16–22 tracking period.
A powerful global debut
"Housewife" arrived on October 15 alongside its official visual. Its opening performance was strong enough to secure the No. 1 position on both major Billboard global rankings.
The Global 200 measures song performance across worldwide markets, while the Global Excl. U.S. chart focuses on activity outside the United States. Reaching the top of both lists demonstrates that the song's popularity extended well beyond McRae's home market.
The single also recorded approximately 34.9 million streams outside the United States during the tracking period, reinforcing its international reach.
Another milestone for the Canadian star
This is not McRae's first experience at the top of Billboard's global rankings. Her earlier hit "Greedy" also reached No. 1 on the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts during its successful run in 2023 and 2024.
However, the latest achievement gives her another major moment in an increasingly competitive pop market. Her ability to attract listeners across multiple territories reflects the growing international appeal of her music.
What comes next?
"Housewife" is expected to introduce the next chapter of McRae's recording career. The singer has not yet announced the full details of her next studio album, leaving fans waiting for more information about what could follow the successful single.
For now, the chart performance gives McRae a strong start and adds another international success to her growing catalogue. With streaming figures and global chart positions continuing to shape the modern music business, her latest achievement is one worth watching.
