Ajax have reached an agreement to sign Simon Adingra from Sunderland on loan, with the winger completing his medical ahead of the move.
The deal includes an initial loan fee of more than €3 million, while Ajax have also secured a €16 million buy option for the Ivory Coast international.
Adingra is expected to add pace, creativity and attacking threat to Ajax’s squad. The 24-year-old winger will now have the opportunity to showcase his abilities in the Netherlands and potentially make the move permanent.
The transfer represents an interesting opportunity for both player and club, with Ajax retaining the option to make Adingra’s stay permanent at the end of the loan spell.
