Rudy Lee Calvin, 70, of Mount Carmel, died following a vehicle-pedestrian crash in Wabash County, Illinois, on Monday evening, October 5.
According to the Wabash County Coroner’s Office, emergency personnel responded to the crash at Illinois Route 15 and East 500 Road around 8:39 p.m.
Calvin was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Illinois State Police, Belmont Fire Department, Wabash County Sheriff’s Department and other first responders assisted at the scene.
An autopsy was performed on October 6 as authorities continued investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Calvin was 70 years old. His death has left family, friends and the Mount Carmel community mourning his loss.
