Rescue crews are searching for a man after his canoe capsized in the Goulburn River, two hours north-east of Melbourne.
Police say the 53-year-old man was canoeing at Ghin Ghin, north-west of Yea, when his boat flipped just before 10:45am.
Another person was on the banks of the river and was able to call for help.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed a Triple Zero (000) call was made at 10:45am.
A multi-agency search is underway involving Victoria Police, the Country Fire Authority, Lifesaving Victoria and the State Emergency Service (SES).
An SES spokesperson said the missing man was a "strong swimmer", but the current was "flowing quite rapidly".
The canoe has been located.
The spokesperson said the man is 175 centimetres tall, Caucasian with short blond hair.
The man was not wearing a life jacket.
Three members of the SES Swift Water Rescue Team are at the scene.
