Police have charged nine teenagers over several alleged carjackings in Melbourne's north this month.

Victoria Police said officers executed search warrants between July 22 and 28, arresting nine boys aged between 15 and 17.

Officers found an allegedly stolen vehicle as well as drugs, tasers, an incorrectly stored firearm, peptides and steroids during the raids.

The teenagers have been charged with a total of 61 offences, including aggravated carjacking, carjacking, discharging a firearm, affray and intentionally causing injury.

The charges follow a series of 18 alleged carjackings across Melbourne's northern suburbs, including Coburg, Fawkner, Hadfield, Campbellfield, Mickleham and Wallan between July 1 and 10.

The teenagers were all remanded and will face a children's court at a later date.
