Spree Reaches €529.7 Million
Manchester City have embarked on a remarkable spending spree this summer, with their total expenditure on new players reportedly reaching a staggering €529.7 million.
The Premier League champions have invested heavily across different areas of the squad, bringing in a mixture of established stars and highly rated young talents. The biggest deals include Enzo Fernández for €140 million and Elliot Anderson for €135 million, accounting for more than half of the club’s reported spending.
City have also completed major moves for Ayyoub Bouaddi (€95m) and Iliman Ndiaye (€76m), while further additions include Allan (€40m) and Mathys Detourbet (€25m). The club have also spent €11.7m on Jérémy Monga, while Gerónimo Rulli and Pierce Charles reportedly arrived for €3.5m each.
The figures underline Manchester City’s determination to maintain a competitive squad and continue challenging for major honours. With almost half a billion euros committed to new signings, expectations will be extremely high heading into the new campaign.
City’s spending has once again highlighted their financial strength in the transfer market, but the ultimate judgement will come on the pitch. With a revamped squad and significant investment behind them, the pressure will now be on the players and coaching staff to turn that enormous spending into trophies.
