Juventus Make Move for Joshua Zirkzee as Fiorentina Pursuit Stalls

Juventus have made a fresh approach for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee as the Italian club continues to prepare for a possible change in its attacking options.

The Bianconeri are monitoring Zirkzee as one of their main alternatives if Jonathan David leaves the club. Juventus are also looking at Newcastle United forward Nick Woltemade as another option.

Zirkzee has attracted significant interest from Serie A clubs this summer because of his previous experience in Italy with Parma and Bologna. He joined Manchester United from Bologna in 2024 but has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Old Trafford.

Fiorentina had previously moved strongly for the Dutch striker. The club reportedly submitted a proposal involving a €5 million loan fee and a purchase option, with discussions also taking place over the possibility of a conditional obligation to buy.

The latest reports indicate Juventus have now re-entered the race. Sky Sport Italia reports that Juventus have made an offer to Manchester United for a loan with a €30 million purchase option.

Zirkzee’s situation remains closely connected to Jonathan David’s future. Juventus need to resolve David’s situation before making a definitive move for another striker, which has allowed other clubs to make progress in the race for Zirkzee.

Juventus are also monitoring Woltemade, who has emerged as another potential target. The club’s interest in both forwards gives them alternatives as the transfer deadline approaches.

For Manchester United, Zirkzee’s potential departure would provide an opportunity to reduce the size of the squad and generate funds from a player who has struggled to secure consistent playing time.

The transfer situation is developing quickly, with Juventus, Fiorentina and other interested clubs attempting to reach an agreement before the transfer window closes.

Zirkzee’s next destination remains uncertain, but Juventus have now made their intentions clear. The Italian giants are pushing for a deal and are keeping the Manchester United forward on their shortlist as they plan for the final days of the transfer window.
