Juventus have stepped up their efforts to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr, with negotiations reportedly advancing between the two clubs.

The Serie A giants have already made a verbal proposal to Tottenham as they look to bring the Senegal international to Turin.

Juventus are understood to have proposed a loan deal with a purchase option that would become mandatory under agreed conditions. The structure of the proposal is now being discussed between the clubs as Juventus continue their pursuit of the midfielder.

Talks with Sarr’s representatives are also progressing. Juventus are reportedly working to reach an agreement with the player’s camp while continuing negotiations with Tottenham over the transfer formula.

The Italian club faces competition for Sarr’s signature. Monaco, Beşiktaş and several English clubs are also understood to be monitoring the situation.

Sarr has established himself as an important midfielder at Tottenham since joining the club from Metz. His energy, defensive work and ability to contribute in possession have made him an attractive target for clubs looking to strengthen their midfield.

Juventus are now attempting to move ahead of their rivals and secure an agreement with both Tottenham and the player’s representatives.

The coming discussions are expected to determine whether the proposed loan-to-buy structure satisfies Tottenham’s demands. If an agreement is reached, Sarr would have the opportunity to continue his career in Serie A with Juventus.

For now, negotiations remain ongoing, with Juventus pushing to make progress on a deal for the 23-year-old midfielder.
