Jimmy Edwards, 72, died after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross U.S. Highway 27/441 near Longview Avenue in Lady Lake, Florida.
According to the preliminary investigation, Edwards was crossing the highway when he was struck by a northbound 2016 silver Lexus E350 driven by 63-year-old Larry Wilson of Lady Lake.
The collision left Edwards with fatal injuries. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Edwards did not survive.
