GODDARD, Kan. โ€” A 68-year-old Wichita man died Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle crash near the western edge of Goddard, leaving his family, friends and community grieving, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP).
The crash happened at about 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at US-54 and South 215th Street West in Sedgwick County. KHP said Alan Voran Bradley was driving a 2012 Hyundai Tucson north on 215th Street and turning west onto US-54 when it collided with a westbound 2019 Ford F-450 pickup. The truck struck the passenger side of the Hyundai.
Bradley, the only person in the Hyundai, was taken to Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, where he was pronounced dead. KHP said he was not wearing a seat belt. The truck's driver, Matthew Peter Lokemoen, 48, and passenger, Amanda Jean Lokemoen, 44, both of Merrill, Wisconsin, were wearing seat belts and were taken to a Wichita hospital with minor injuries.
At 68, Bradley's journey reached its final chapter far sooner than anyone could have imagined. In a moment that began like any other morning, a life came to an unexpected end, a reminder of how fragile and precious every day truly is.
Though the road has ended, his memory deserves to live on in the hearts of those who knew him, loved him, and shared life's moments with him. No words can fully soften the sorrow of a life taken so suddenly, but may time bring comfort where grief now resides.
