Blanchard has since directed supporters to a Change.org petition for what she calls “Kenan’s Law.” The proposed legislation would seek changes in how social media platforms handle repeated reports of targeted harassment and cyberbullying.
In the petition, Blanchard said Urker experienced extensive public scrutiny online. She said reports of harassment had been made across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Reddit, but she believed the responses from platforms were insufficient. Change.org
Blanchard said the proposed law would focus on repeated patterns of harassment rather than treating every individual post or comment as an isolated incident.
She also said she does not know whether Urker’s suspected overdose was intentional and declined to speculate about circumstances still under investigation. Change.org
Blanchard and Urker shared a daughter, Aurora Raina, who was born in December 2024. Their relationship had included periods of separation before they reunited in 2024. E! Online

Blanchard says her goal now is to turn the experience into advocacy and push for stronger responses to online harassment.
The petition remains available on Change.org as supporters debate the proposed changes and the responsibilities of social media platforms.
