Georgia Park Shooting Leaves 11 Teens Injured at Birthday Party

A shooting at Carolyn Crayton Park in Macon, Georgia, left 11 teenagers injured around midnight Sunday, September 27, 2026, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the victims included four 18-year-old men, two 18-year-old women, and five 17-year-old boys. An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were in critical condition, while the remaining victims were reported to be stable.

According to Bibb County Sheriff David Davis, the group had been attending a birthday party that was initially planned at an Airbnb in Jones County. After the group was asked to leave, attendees gathered at the park. Another group later arrived, and an argument between the two groups escalated into gunfire.

All 11 victims were reportedly members of the birthday gathering. Several students from Central High School and Northeast High School were among those attending.

No arrests had been announced as of the latest report. The investigation remains ongoing, with the FBI assisting local authorities because of the number of people involved. Sheriff Davis said available evidence indicates the incident was local.
