Business leaders, human resource professionals, and policymakers are set to converge on Lagos to address the impact of artificial intelligence, changing workforce dynamics, and corporate performance at the 2026 edition of the Beyond HR Conference.
Organised by HR Talent Hub in collaboration with DAC Consulting, the flagship two‑day event is scheduled for October in Lagos, under the theme “Beyond HR: Leadership, Growth and Business Success.”
The upcoming summit comes at a critical time for African businesses navigating digital disruption and macroeconomic pressures. With rapid advancements in generative AI, automation, and hybrid working models, corporate leaders are under growing pressure to restructure talent acquisition, upskill employees, and manage changing workplace expectations while maintaining profitability.
Underscoring the need for strategic agility, the Founder and Lead Consultant of HR Talent Hub, Dr Omotola Dayo‑Adedapo, emphasised that business executives must align human capital management with broader corporate goals.
“Organisations can no longer treat people’s strategy as separate from business strategy,” Dayo‑Adedapo said.

First held in 2024, the annual gathering has grown into a major industry platform designed to bridge the gap between human resource practices and executive decision‑making.
Highlighting the scope of this year’s edition, Dayo‑Adedapo noted that the conference serves as a practical blueprint for driving sustainable business performance rather than functioning as a routine sectoral meeting.
“Beyond HR is more than a conference. It is a convening for meaningful conversations on leadership, business performance, and organisational growth.
“Every edition is built to challenge perspectives, share practical ideas, and equip leaders with strategies they can immediately apply within their organisations,” Dayo‑Adedapo added.
The two‑day conference will feature keynote addresses, executive fireside chats, panel sessions, and networking opportunities focused on workforce transformation, productivity, and long‑term organisational growth. The event will also host the annual HR Excellence Awards to recognise outstanding leadership and innovation across various sectors.
According to the organisers, participation is open to executives, entrepreneurs, human resource practitioners, and emerging professionals, both in person and virtually.
