On Saturday evening, September 19, 2026, Destiny Gay, 24, of West Chazy, and Robbie Grant, 54, of Hogansburg, lost their lives in a fatal UTV crash in Dannemora, New York.
According to New York State Police, the crash happened shortly before 7 p.m. on Sunset Road. Gay was operating the UTV with Grant as a passenger.
Investigators said Gay was driving along the north shoulder of the road when she lost control of the UTV. The vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned.
Emergency responders from Lyon Mountain Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene and found both occupants unresponsive. The Clinton County Coroner's Office pronounced Gay and Grant dead at the scene.
Autopsies were scheduled as authorities continued working to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
