Christopher, affectionately known as Chris, of Cartrontroy, Athlone, has passed away peacefully following a short illness at Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore. His wife, Lyandra (Sheriff), was by his side during his final moments.
Chris’s passing has left his family and friends heartbroken. He is deeply mourned by his wife, Lyandra; his mother, Bernie; his brother, Shane; his parents-in-law, Dermot and Linda Sheriff; and his brother-in-law, Craig, and sister-in-law, Catherine. He will also be missed by his extended family, relatives, and many friends.
His family remembers Chris as a kind and gentle soul whose presence brought meaning to the lives of those around him. During this difficult time, Lyandra has expressed gratitude to the medical teams who cared for him, including the staff at Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore and St. James’s Hospital in Dublin.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later. The family has requested privacy at their home and asked that flowers not be sent. Those wishing to make a gesture in Chris’s memory may donate to a charity of their choice.
