Christina Ann Haley, 47, and Paul Cervantes Martinez, 40, have died following a tragic incident inside an apartment on College Avenue in San Diego’s Del Cerro neighborhood.
The incident began when a concerned relative contacted police after a family member stopped responding to calls and failed to report for a scheduled work shift.
Officers responded to an apartment in the 5700 block of College Avenue to conduct a welfare check. According to investigators, officers made brief contact with a man believed to be Martinez through the door. He reportedly told officers that everything was fine and declined to allow them inside.
