Anthony Hanshew, 20, of Salem, Illinois, died following a motorcycle crash Tuesday night in Marion County.
According to the Marion County Coroner, Hanshew was riding a motorcycle near the intersection of Illinois Route 37 and Tonti Road when it became involved in a collision with an SUV.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Hanshew was pronounced dead.
The crash has left the Salem community and those who knew Hanshew mourning the loss of a young man whose life ended unexpectedly.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Further details about the crash were not immediately available.
